Abstract:The conductivity and mechanical stiffness of ethylene-oxide based Li+ conducting solid polymer electrolytes (SPE) were measured and compared for a variety of single- and two-phase systems. Our objective was to determine whether there are simple correlations between these two properties despite the fact that these systems are truly complex. Results show that molecular architecture dominates both transport and mechanical behavior of single phase systems, thereby eliminating broad correlations. Conductivity was a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
