Specifically, we focused on developing thin one-dimensional (1-D) chemical actuators with high velocity and high thrust-to-mass ratio. We have completed extensive modeling and the development of engineering design rules. We synthesized and demonstrated the feasibility of several new types of nano-energetic materials.
