“…The limitations of single-modality imaging pose a significant challenge for healthcare providers because the current ability to use distinct methods to detect PCa and its metastases in patients is inadequate. To overcome this limitation, Wang et al 48 developed a targeted therapeutic diagnostic platform for PCa multimodality imaging-guided photothermal therapy utilizing an Au/Mn nanodot-luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (AMNDs-LHRH) nanosystem. This system can precisely target both gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRH-R)-positive PCa and metastasis for precise preoperative CT/MR diagnosis while enabling fluorescence (FL) visualization to guide surgical intervention, showing its promise in clinical cancer detection and surgical guidance.…”

“…In contrast, the PBS group showed minimal changes, further confirming the potential of AMNDs-LHRH as a promising candidate for tumor photothermal therapy (PTT). 206 Dai et al 181 designed a multi-functional nanoparticle based on mesoporous polydopamine (MPDA) for the targeted delivery of DTX in coordination with chemical photothermal treatment of prostate cancer. DTX was embedded in the mesopore with a high loading of MPDA, and the particles were then modified with AS1411 to target prostate cancer cells.…”

“…CT imaging offers high spatial resolution and fast detection speed, making it advantageous . However, its application in soft tissue imaging is limited by its lack of sensitivity. , Furthermore, conventional contrast agents like iodine present issues of toxicity and side effects . On the other hand, FL imaging shows promise as an intuitive and sensitive modality for disease monitoring and surgical guidance.…”
