Abstract: Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) is a noninvasive method for mapping brain stiffness. Ultrasound-based transtemporal time-harmonic elastography (THE) is emerging as a cost-effective, fast alternative to MRE that has the potential to be used for bedside monitoring of intracranial pressure.
