Multiple Vascular Thrombosis with Vasculogenic Lesions in the Course of Meningoencephalitis

Abstract

The present paper reports the case of a bilateralmultiple vascular thrombosis of the carotid system that appeared in the course of a demyelinating meningoencephalitis, in a 16-year-old patient. The most recent publications concerning vascular thromboses in the young, studied especially by angiography, are reviewed. Particular attention is paid to the importance of the infectious factor in the onset of multiple thromboses in the young.
