Abstract:Introduction: Peri-implant diseases are defined as pathological inflammatory reactions in the tissue surrounding osseointegrated implants. They are classified into two categories: mucositis—defined as peri-implant soft tissue inflammation and peri-implantitis—bone loss in the peri-implant region.
