Multiscale matrix pencils for separable reconstruction problems

Abstract: The nonlinear inverse problem of exponential data fitting is separable since the fitting function is a linear combination of parameterized exponential functions, thus allowing to solve for the linear coefficients separately from the nonlinear parameters.
