Multiuser MISO PS-SWIPT Systems: Active or Passive RIS?

Abstract: Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-based communication networks promise to improve channel capacity and energy efficiency. However, the promised capacity gains could be negligible for passive RISs because of the double pathloss effect.
