Abstract:Zero-field muon spin relaxation measurements were carried out on an Al-3.4% Zn-1.9% Mg alloy in the temperature range from 10 to 300 K. A sample heat treatment clearly made an effect on the relaxation rates of Al-3.4% Zn-1.9% Mg alloys; the dipole width and trapping rate of the heat-treated sample were smaller than those of the non-treated sample below 140 K. The temperature dependence of the trapping and detrapping rates was used to estimate activation energies of muons in Al-3.4% Zn-1.9% Mg.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
