“…Among these compounds, 5 in the first group: arsenic (Beckman et al, 1979;Nordenson et al, 1978), benzene (Tough et a1., 1970;Picciano et al, 1979), bis (chloromethyl) ether and chloromethyl methyl ether (Zundova and Landa, 1979), and vinyl chloride (Funes-Cravioto et al, 1975;Ducatman et al, 1975) have been evaluated for their ability to produce chromosome damage in man, and were found positive. Similarly, 3/3 compounds tested in the second category: cyclophosphamide (Etteldorf et al, 1976), epichlorohydrin (Kucerova et al, 1977;Picciano, 1979), and thiotepa (Si1ezneva and Korman, 1973) have been checked and shown to cause chromosome damage in man. In the third category, 4/4 compounds tested: chloroprene (Katosova, 1973;Sanotskii, 1976), ethylene oxide (Garry et a1., 1979), lead (Forni and Secci, 1972;Garza-Chapa et a1., 1977), and styrene (Meretoja et a1., 1977) caused chromosome damage in man.…”
