Abstract:In this study, the dermatophytic infections in patients referred to Department of Dermatology, AL-Gotham Hospital, Taiz, during May 2013 to May 2014 were examined. The direct microscopic examination was positive in 67.3 % of the cases.Tinea capitis was the commonest fungal disease (48 cases out of 150) followed by tinea versicolor (46) and tinea corporis (38).
