N‐Bromosuccinimide (NBS) — Selective and Effective Catalyst for Trimethylsilylation of Alcohols and Phenols Using Hexamethyldisilazane and Their Regeneration under Mild and Neutral Reaction Conditions.
Abstract:A broad spectrum of substrates can be silylated under conditions A) or B). The process is not successful in the case of thiols or amines. Selective protection of unhindered alcohols is possible in the presence of hindered ones. -(KHAZAEI*, A.; ROSTAMI, A.; RAIATZADEH, A.; MAHBOUBIFAR, M.; Can. J. Chem. 85 (2007) 5, 336-340; Fac.
