Abstract:In analyzing morphology of modified surfaces it is important to distinguish between features attributable to the matrix and those for the modifier. This study focused on an examination of the surface morphology of closely related linear and network polyurethanes intended for use as bulk coating constituents. A process dependent morphology is found for the crosslinked polyurethane matrix. Microscale gelation was found when reagents were added simultaneously, while nanoscale gelation occurs when the cross‐linker… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
