Abstract:Developing well‐understood methodologies for the preparation of single‐site catalysts has long been a goal in catalysis science. Newly emerging strategies for preparing and functionalizing nanostructured materials open the door to a number of new approaches that address this goal. General, structural, and chemical definitions of nanostructured, single‐site catalysts are presented, and the challenges associated with meeting these requirements are discussed. Selected examples of nanostructuring strategies that l… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
