“…Lastly, in the acidic medium, ionic species are created (Ni, Ag, and Zn ions), resulting in cellular and genotoxicity due to the interactions among the negatively charged vital organelles. 86,87 Conclusion RGO and its nanocomposites with metal-oxide (NiO, AgO, and ZnO) NPs were designed and fabricated in this work. The SEM/ EDX mapping technique distinguished the effect of the hybridization of the metal oxide NPs on the external shape of the prepared RGO.…”

“…It is important to state that the grown moderate mono-size distributed ZnCe x Fe 2−x O 4 (X = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08) NPs were attributed to the synthesis method, and the particle size distribution was sharply increased as Ce 3+ ions content increased in the prepared sample. It is common that DLS size measurements become higher than the crystallite size (D) measurements ( Figure 1 ), as DLS analysis is estimating the hydrodynamic radius of ZnCe x Fe 2−x O 4 (X = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08) NPs bounded by water molecules, resulting in larger particle sizes of the capped NPs, while XRD analysis is calculating the crystallite size of the powder material without water layer [ 42 ].…”

“…DLS size measurements were higher than particle size measurements in TEM. DLS analysis is estimating the hydrodynamic radius of nano-SiO 2 and SiO 2 /Ag nanocomposite bounded by water molecules, resulting in larger particle sizes of the capped nanoparticles, while TEM is calculating the average particle size of the powder material without the water layer (Abdel Maksoud et al 2020 ). Based on the obtained PDI values, the prepared particles in the nanocomposite showed moderate mono-size dispersion.…”
