Nas fronteiras do trabalho: trânsitos e resistências numa expedição de construção da Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré

Abstract: O artigo discute aspectos conflitivos de uma composição heterogênea de trabalhadores recrutados pela companhia norte-americana P & T Collins em 1878, responsável por construir a Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré. Com sede na Filadélfia, a companhia deslocou até Santo Antônio do rio Madeira centenas de operários de diferentes nacionalidades.
