National digitalization program and regional problems

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of modern national responses of the domestic economy to the challenges of the digital revolution, the analysis of the implementation of the National program for the development of the digital economy in the Republic of Dagestan. On the basis of the system analysis the conceptual apparatus of the studied problem is investigated. The author's interpretation of the definition of «Digital economy» is given. The article examines the state and readiness for digitalization of the Russian economy, identifies problem areas that determine the «digital gap» between our country and the leading countries. The study substantiates the need for state support for the development of the digital economy and the expansion of tax incentives for innovative companies. The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the development of information and communication technologies in the region. The author's recommendations can be taken into account in the implementation of the National program of digitalization and the development of regional digital projects.
