Natural Protected Areas From Romania. A Case Study of Danube Delta

Abstract: The Danube Delta is recognition as natural international capital in Romania. In 1991 it was designated as Ramsar site and World Natural Heritage Site for a surface of 50% of its area. Also, in 1992 it is recognized as a Biosphere Reserve. The Danube Delta is a large protected area at international level, but at national level certain areas of the Danube Delta are only natural reserves.
