Neurologic and Biochemical Findings and CD4/CD8 Ratio in People Occupationally Exposed to RF and Microwave

Abstract

In tlzis study, we investigated tl1.e blological effects oj' RF (Radio Frequency) and microwave in terms oj'neurologica/ and bloc/zemicaljindings, and CD4jCD8 ratio in people tlzat work at broadcasting and tele-..•ision transmitter stations. Tlze study was carried out on 26 people j'rom 20 to 49 years oj' age, occupationally exposed to nonionizing radiation. First we gave out а questiomzaire consisting oj' 12 questioш to e\•erybody under im•estigation Secondly, we determined tlze levels oj' АLТ, АSТ, LDH, ALP, СК, plюsp/юrus, tota/ protein, albumin clюlesterol, uric acid, urea, creatinin, Na, К, and NSE (Neuron Specific Enolase), and also CD4jCD8, albuminjglobulin ratios and percentage oj' serum proteins. Tlze results obtained in tlzis study were statistically compared to а control group.
