Abstract:This chapter traces the historical development of brain stimulation technologies and their methodological parameters for treating substance use disorders (SUDs). These methods include Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (tES), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), and Transcranial Focused Ultrasound Stimulation (tFUS).
