Abstract: Background Hypoxic-ischemia (HI), infection/inflammation and reperfusion injury are pathogenic factors of encephalopathy of prematurity, which involves maturational/neurotrophic disturbances in oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPC) and neurons/axons.
