Abstract: Neutrophil (polymorphonuclear leukocytes [PMN]) transepithelial migration during inflammatory episodes involves INTRODUCTIONPolymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) are the first line of host defense against infection by bacterial pathogens and are rapidly recruited to sites of bacterial invasion.
