Nevotan niptiyan

Abstract: Departing from a newly discovered structural parallelism, this article presents an analysis of the curse formula that constitutes roughly a third of the longest Phrygian text found so far, the inscription from Vezirhan. Among the conclusions reached by this analysis are the identification of key with ke (an enclitic particle meaning 'and') and the plausible hypothesis that the Phrygian derivatives of IE *nep(ō)tand *neptih2-are attested in this text in several different case forms.
