Abstract:The paper deals with new biaxial experiments to study the damage and fracture behavior of ductile sheet metal. For this purpose the H-specimen has been specially designed and is subjected to different proportional loadings within this context.The stress state dependent damage and fracture behavior can be described by a phenomenological continuum damage and fracture model which is briefly presented.
