New developments in photoemission theory

Abstract

In this article, we discuss some new developments in photoemission theories, in particular high-energy photoemission, recoil exciting phonon around the X-ray absorbing atom, and relativistic and magnetic effects. In particular, quite a detailed discussion is given on quantum Landau formula, which can be a bridge between classical and quantum theory of electron transport in solids.
