Abstract:In this paper, we proposed a new scheme of forming quarterpixel reference of LL band for in-band video coding with spatial scalability. The recently proposed leaky motion compensation and mode-based temporal filtering methods [5] have reduced the drifting error dramatically. However there still remains drifting error because of the use of high quality reference and the difference between high quality and low quality references [5]. In our method, a new reference is formed which gives PSNR higher than the low … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
