Abstract:A cofiring process with the addition of carbon fiber was demonstrated successfully to be a new method to fabricate limiting-current-type oxygen sensors. Reproducible, limiting-current behavior was realized in sensors that were made via cofiring. The limiting current was directly proportional to −ln (1 − X O 2 ) over an oxygen concentration X O 2 range of 0%-25%, and gas diffusion through the hole made by the burnout of the carbon fiber in the sensor was believed to be in the normal diffusion region.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
