Hetero-bridged dinuclear oxidovanadium(IV) complexes, [(VO)2{HB(pz}3}2(μ-OH)(μ-O2CR)] [R = C2H5, 1; (CH3)3C, 2; (CH3)3CCH2, 3; Ph2CH, 4; Ph3C, 5; PhCH2CH2, and 6; {HB(pz)3}− = hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate], were synthesized and characterized using X-ray crystallography, infrared spectroscopy, UV-VIS spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Structure analysis revealed that these complexes adopt a μ-hydroxo-μ-carboxylato hetero-bridged dinuclear structure. Magnetic measurements revealed ferromagnetic interactions (J ~ +20 cm−1) between two V(IV) ions.
