Abstract:New onset encephalopathy can have various causes like stroke, trauma, seizures, infections, demyelination, neoplasms, autoimmune, degenerative, and toxic and metabolic etiologies. Triphasic waves in electroencephalogram (EEG) is usually a clue to an ongoing metabolic process.
