New photo cathode driven by surface plasmon resonance

Abstract: The novel photocathode consists of a quartz right triangle prism and aluminum thin film, that was optimized for perfect photon adsorption. The emission current properties as function of incident angle showed the local maximum in agreement with the condition for maximum field enhancement. Furthermore it was demonstrated by evaluating energy spectrum that poor QE was caused by mismatch k vector with excitation.
