Abstract:Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a well-established, evidence-based treatment for chronic pain. For decades, implantation of tonic SCS systems has relied on epidural electric lead placement to overlap regions of pain with paresthesias to achieve maximal postoperative pain relief.
