Abstract:By analyzing existing data on pseudoscalar charmonium decays, we obtain the ratio of the branching fractions of η c (2S) and η c decays into ten different final states with light hadrons. For the first time, we test the two existing theoretical predictions of these decays, and find that the experimental data are significantly different from both of them. The lack of observation of any decay mode with higher rate in η c (2S) than in η c decays suggests very unusual decay dynamics in pseudoscalar charmonium deca… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
