New Reaching Law Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor With Extended Disturbance Observer

Abstract: In order to improve the anti-disturbance performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo system, a sliding-mode control strategy using a new reaching law (NRL) is proposed. The NRL incorporates power term and switching gain term of the system state variables into the conventional exponential reaching law (CERL), which can effectively suppress the sliding-mode chattering and increase the convergence rate of system state reaching sliding-mode surface. Based on this new reaching law, a sliding-mode… Show more

“…At the same time, when the system state of the linear term ks is close to the sliding mode surface, that is, s < 1, ks reaches 0, the proportional term becomes the square root reaching law α|s| 1/2 sign(s), and there is still the problem of low reaching speed. In order to solve this problem, the adaptive term 1) s is introduced in this paper, and equation ( 16) becomes…”

“…In [20], an improved exponential reaching law was adopted in the permanent magnet synchronous motor control system, and it achieved higher robustness with lower chattering. A sliding-mode control strategy using a new reaching law was proposed in [21]. The new reaching law effectively suppressed sliding-mode chattering and increased the convergence rate of the system state reaching the sliding-mode surface.…”

“…But more switching loss occur due to chattering in system, in turn, high speed switching frequency operation in the switching devices. To the above mentioned problem to alleviate the chattering, a proposed tan hyperbolic reaching law, sigmoid reaching law and constant plus proportional pace reaching law are examined and applied to buck converter [21][22][23].…”
