New Red Diazonium Compounds based on 2‐amino benzene diazonium salts

Abstract

Using PMO theory the influence of substituents on the visible spectra of benzene diazonium salts is discussed. The theory explains the experimental structure‐colour relationships and allows to predict new basic structures of coloured benzene diazonium salts. The synthesis and spectral behaviour of the new class of superfast diazonium salts are described.
