New Results on Passivity Analysis for Uncertain Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delay

Abstract: The paper investigates the stability and passivity analysis problems for a class of uncertain neural networks with time-delay via delta operator approach. Both the parameter uncertainty and the generalized activation functions are considered in this paper. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some new stability and passivity conditions are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The main characteristic of this paper is to obtain novel stability and passivity analysis c… Show more

“…Passivity properties were applied in many applications, such as complexity, fuzzy control, time-delay systems, Markovian jump systems, neural networks, signal processing, switched time-delay, and stochastic systems [21,22,[28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35]. The passivity theory was firstly proposed in circuit analysis.…”

“…Passivity theory is a promising method to attain the internal stability of systems under consideration. 20,21 H ∞ and passive performances have been considered in many applications and aspects, including complexity, 22 fuzzy control, 12,23 time-delay systems, [24][25][26] Markovian jump systems, 21 neural networks, 25,26 stochastic systems, 23 and switched systems. 24 The H 2 scheme was applied to minimize a quadratic performance index of the state of system under no disturbance input.…”

“…Recently, the problems of stability via delta operator approach have been concerned [20,22,31,32]. In [20,22,32], time delays were considered and in [31], a class of linear uncertain Markovian jump systems over networks was investigated. However, it should be mentioned that there are few achievements about stability for uncertain GRNs with time-varying delays via delta operator approach, which motivates this study.…”
