Abstract:We discuss recent studies and predictions for nuclear clustering and dynamics within the framework of the ab initio symmetry-adapted no-core shell model, which has opened new domains of the nuclear chart. In this framework, we show the emergence from first principles of collectivity and clustering in light to mediummass nuclei, with implications for constructing ab initio optical potentials, for studying clustering in stable and unstable nuclei, for reproducing enhanced deformations without effective charges, … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
