New Viewpoint on the Mechanism of Laminar Separation Flutter

Abstract: At transitional Reynolds numbers, an elastically supported airfoil oscillating in pitch can undergo laminar separation flutter (LSF), which is characterized by self-sustained small-amplitude oscillations.
