Nickel ferrite nanoparticles: an efficient and reusable nanocatalyst for a neat, one-pot and four-component synthesis of pyrroles

Abstract: Rezvani• We applied magnetics NiFe 2 O 4 as a recoverable catalyst in the multicomponent reaction of substituted pyrroles • Magnetic NiFe 2 O 4 could be recovered from the reaction easily with an external magnet and be used nine times without significant activity loss. •The catalytic activity of magnetic NiFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles were less studied in organic reactions. • The reaction conditions is mild and the process of catalyst preparation is simple.• The yields are high.In this study nickel ferrite magnetic … Show more

“…Using an external magnet, the catalyst was easily recovered and recycled five times without any significant loss in its activity. Later on, in 2015, the same reaction was carried out by Moghaddam et al . using 5 mol% nano‐NiFe 2 O 4 as an efficient nano‐magnetic reusable heterogeneous catalyst under solvent‐free conditions at 100 °C.…”
