Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Three Maize (Zea Mays L.) Cultivars

Abstract: Nitrogen use efficiency is one of the key issues in farming and fertilization, it is defined as the amount of product produced per unit of resource used. A split plot arrangement in randomized complete block design with four replications was used to compare the yield, nitrogen use efficiency and some quality characters of three maize (Zea mays L.) cultivars. The analysis of variance revealed that both nitrogen and maize cultivars were significantly differences in yield, nitrogen use efficiency, crude protein a… Show more

“…It is becoming popular amongst growers because of its multifunctional use and uses such as food for humans, raw materials for various industries and animal feed. Grain is a good fat, minerals, starch, protein, vitamin source (Khan et al, 2012;Toum et al, 2018). Maize has an important nutrient value with about 72% starch, protein approximately 10%, and fiber up to 12% and oils approximately 3% (Ali et al, 2014).…”

“…The 3D model was initially proposed by a group researcher, and the model was introduced and optimized by the Chinese scholar Fang Kai before being widely studied and applied (Niccolucci et al 2012, Borogayary et al 2018, Pe'Eri et al 2016, Ahamed et al 2017, Cheung et al 2017. Some researchers adopted the model to measure the natural capital of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration (Du et al 2016, Yun et al 2018, Toum et al 2018. In other studies, researchers extended the 3D ecological footprint model to study the land carrying capacity of the Wenzhou City, and this paper attempts to build on the 3D ecological footprint model (Jin and Liu 2017).…”
