NMR Study of Filled Skutterudite Pr_0.9Ce_0.1Ru₄P₁₂

Abstract

We report the results of the 31 P-NMR measurements on filled skutterudite Pr 0.9 Ce 0.1 Ru 4 P 12 synthesized under high pressure in order to understand the microscopic electronic states and the Ce substitution effect on PrRu 4 P 12 . The peak maximum in the NMR spectrum splits into two below 10 K in the low temperature metallic state. Also, the split decreases with decreasing magnetic field and seems to vanish in zero field. Thus, magnetically ordered moments are considered to be absent at low temperatures, which is consistent with the results of the nuclear relaxation.
