No stone left unturned: a case of malignant mimicry

Abstract: A 67-year-old woman was referred to a peritoneal malignancy centre with suspicion of peritoneal carcinomatosis from unknown primary. She reported a two-year history of intermittent rectal bleeding and mild upper abdominal pain. Her past history included a myocardial infarction, hysterectomy and laparoscopic cholecystectomy 25 years prior. Histopathology and operation reports from her previous surgeries were unavailable.
