Abstract:The approach of Noether symmetries with gauge term in the Gauss-Bonnet dilatonic theory of gravity is used for different values of the state parameter, u, of the background matter. It is found that for u = -1 (dark energy Universe), u = 0 (matter-dominated Universe), and u = 1 (the case of stiff matter), for the existence of Noether gauge symmetries, the potential V(f) and the coupling of the Gauss-Bonnet term with gravity L(f) are obtained as exponential functions of the scalar field f. For the case of arbitr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
