Nonbite Transmission of Pasteurella Causing Epiglottitis in an Immunocompetent Patient

Abstract: Pasteurella infections commonly manifest as localized skin infections; however, more invasive infections can also occur. Pasteurella epiglottitis is a rare infection associated with nonbite transmission, including food and beverages contaminated with animal saliva. Fewer than 20 cases of Pasteurella epiglottitis have been reported in the literature.
