Abstract:The research on both fundamental mechanisms and applications in nonlinear acoustic resonances has recently become active. By using shaped resonators, the acoustic saturations occurred in straight cylindrical resonators have been removed and large amplitude pressure oscillations have been obtained. Acoustic compressors have been developed following this technology. It is of interests to investigate if the nonlinear resonance can be used to produce high pressure gas oscillations in miniature/micro scales, which … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
