Abstract:The stress-strength model is widely applied in reliability. Observations are often subject to right censoring due to some practical limitations. In such circumstances, the statistical inference for the stress-strength model is demanding, although lacking. We propose a nonparametric method for the inference of the stress-strength model when the observations are subject to right censoring. The asymptotic properties are also established. The practical utility of the proposed method is assessed through both simula… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
