Abstract:Lymphocyte differentiation is often tightly linked to mitosis. Clonal bursts due to antigen- or TLR-driven responses increase numbers of responding cells and may also facilitate changes in gene expression and chromatin needed for effector cell differentiation. Alternatively, to guard against rapid infection, lymphocyte pools may also contain cells poised for effector differentiation with minimal proliferation. Since marginal zone (MZ) B cells, which have increased basal mTORC1 activity and c-Myc expression, re… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
