Notes on the Early Tertiary basalts of south-eastern Queensland

Abstract: A re-arrangement is made of Richards' subdivisions of the Tertiary volcanic rocks of South-eastern Queensland involving the transfer of the Bundamba basalt (part of the Booval Group) from his upper to his lower division, where its chemical and petrological affinities lie. This basalt is demonstrably Palseogene. In a tabular statement the author's view that the Upper Basalts and the Rhyolites, etc. are Oligocene and the Lower Basalts Eocene is compared with the interpretations of other workers.
