Abstract:Platinum group metals (PGMs) are primarily used in automotive exhaust catalysts (autocatalysits). Spent autocatalysts are the most important secondary resource for PGMs. However, transporting autocatalyst scraps and recovering PGMs from the scraps are costly and time-consuming, owing to the low PGM content in spent autocatalysts. Thus, an effective PGM-concentration technology for the pretreatment of scrap prior to transport is required. This study develops a new pretreatment technique that is applied prior to… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
