Abstract:We propose for the first time the in-situ frequency discriminating and continuous phase-tuning of the microwave signal or pulse-train generated from directly modulated laser diode with respect to a free-running microwave clock by integrating a DC-voltage controlled optoelectronic phase shifter (OEPS) with the laser source. This technology facilitates the combination of the frequency synchronization and the phase shifting functions in one circuit. The transferred function of the phase shift versus the controlli… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
