Abstract: Hepatic ischemia–reperfusion injury (IRI) is a major cause of postoperative hepatic dysfunction and liver failure involving cellular damage to previously ischemic tissues to which blood flow is restored. The reestablishment of blood flow is essential for salvaging ischemic tissues.
